- That was an excellent response to the question. It has my
- experince that traversal code, while a bit cumbersome to
- maintain, is essential to the flexibility promised by OO software
- systems.

- OO tries to model dynamic, analog systems. These systems use
- cooperating parts to transfer energy from place to place... There
- are some redundancies inherint in these systems and others
- artifically introduced to support modularity. I think these are
- the kinds of things we're seeing when the OO code exhibits
- traversal code.
